Three years later seems like a good time for a wild ride of an update. Since the blog is kind of like my public/private art journal I feel like a small reflection is more than acceptable.
I did get the print section of the website up! Prices are for my metal prints which I find to be awesome with a decent selection of sizing. I am thinking about getting some physical art prints made as well but I need to see how things work and sell so I am not sitting on a ton of stock.
As for personal shoots and projects that did start in 2025, I made a real active effort into trying to get into the mindset of the “Beginner spirit” and try to see joy and the fun parts of photography again. Where that ended up landing me was back into Arizona’s EDM nightlife again. Back in 2008 that’s what lit the spark of me loving photography and enjoying myself with my camera. I spent 2011 to 2024 doing stuff I had no real investment or motivation doing when the answer was in front of me all along. If you want to check out my latest work and the archive its all here. The galleries have brought a lot of my buddies together and they all seem to love it. I am still trying to do a personal photography day to myself to work on vortographs but time makes a fool of us all.
What I really love is the reaction everyone has of getting a good photo on a night out with their friends. It’s one of the things that feels like it adds a cherry on top of a fun night. This year feels like a good year for my growth as a photographer, where 2025 was picking myself off the ground 2026 feels like I can walk again after years of being under pressure.
Since I don’t know when I am going to be updating the blog again. I am going to be aiming for less than 3 years later. Plans for this year will be to make a good tutorial on building a vortographic lens attachment from common items. Which seems complicated but i am pretty sure I can do that and make it fit onto modern lenses with how many random parts are available. As well I would like to update my portraits chunk and jewelry chunk of my portfolio. Both of these are very obtainable to update things.
